CCC&TI launches fast-trck health career programs

In response to community and industry needs, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is adding two new health related training programs in January.

The programs, Medical Laboratory Assistant and Pharmacy Technician, are both fast-track training courses designed to help students train for health careers and qualify for available jobs in the industry in just a few short weeks. Both courses begin in January and are open now for enrollment.

The Medical Laboratory Assistant program is a 320-hour program, which includes 120 clinical hours with a focus on the role of the Medical Laboratory Assistant in healthcare settings such as hospitals, medical clinics, research laboratories and more. The course provides functional knowledge required for a clinical allied healthcare professional. Students learn procedures for phlebotomy, vein selection, drawing protocols and specimen labeling.
