Room to Grow in Caldwell County

“Reuse and Repurpose” has been a driver of Caldwell County’s economic development for nearly 20 years. We have transformed furniture manufacturing plants, sawmills and more into locations housing diverse and growing industries.

Industrial Site Development: Evergreene Industrial Park

We have broken ground on our first county-owned industrial park in years: Evergreene Industrial Park. Through grants, CCED will equip the sites with water, sewer and broadband infrastructure from points adjacent to the parcel. The site is 34 acres, has room for up to six buildings and is near other industry. Contact CCED for further details.

Transformed Industrial Space
When furniture manufacturing collapsed during the 2008 recession because the housing market bubble burst, Caldwell County was left with industrial buildings with robust infrastructure. Since then, Caldwell has persistently rebuilt its economy, adding more than 50 industries and repurposing and selling more than 4.2 million square feet of industrial space.
