The Granite Falls Parks and Recreation Department recently announced that it received of a $500,000 Accessible Parks Grant from the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Authority. The distribution of funds was announced by the authority on Aug. 23, and will “support the redevelopment of Neighborhood Park, located near the downtown area of granite falls,” according to a press release by the town of Granite Falls.
