Tech events like this one offer much more than networking. They are part of a broader effort to build a stronger, more inclusive local economy. As the tech sector grows, so do the benefits for the entire community, including:
The first Tech Talk, held on August 19, received positive feedback from many attendees.
Caroll Tuttle, President of Business Data Solutions, Inc.: “The August Tech Talk was interactive, inspiring, and a practical session of introductions. I really valued the chance to connect with others facing similar challenges. One of the highlights was the opportunity to exchange ideas with other attendees. I expected to learn from a presentation, but the networking and unexpected insights from peers made the experience even more valuable.”
Alexander Pinkerton, Software Engineer and Startup Founder: “Networking is essential, and having a local forum to share ideas, collaborate, and build connections fills a real gap after moving from New York City’s tech scene to Lenoir. I was also impressed by the community college’s technical campus and plan to use their resources, especially the metal 3D printers.”
Carmela Tomlinson, Director of the Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute: “Caldwell County has strong assets for growing a tech economy and is well-positioned to boost tech-driven development. Already a hub for local industry and culture, the county can spur regional growth by expanding support for tech talent, creating tech jobs, and helping entrepreneurs launch and grow startups. Hosting inclusive tech meetups or networking events will help connect local tech professionals, spark collaboration, and drive innovation, creating a catalyst for local tech ecosystem development and economic growth.”
This event is for you, whether you're launching your first startup, advancing your tech career, or exploring ways to support innovation in Caldwell County.
