The town of Granite Falls is one of 15 municipalities recently recognized by ElectriCities with a 2022 Public Power of Excellence award.
The awards were presented during the annual ElectriCities conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Granite Falls award, within the Strengthen Public Power category, recognized town leaders for their efforts to celebrate communities that build public and political support for public power, said Jerry Church, Granite Falls town manager.
